First of all, I've decided to start writing this thing with a bit more personal point of view. Not as many bullet points and a look into the madness of the film and television business. Hopefully it works, maybe it doesn't, but a little change is good right?
So, I'm finishing up the score for Roland Joffe's film "This Is Not Miami" (formerly Finding TATU). We recorded the orchestra last week and it's turning out great. This film was shot in Moscow and really looks amazing. It's got it all - girls, music, drugs, Tatu, personal journeys and discovery. A very non-American teen film. Will have more details on the release soon.
This weekend if you happen to check out New Line's "Harold and Kumar 2", I wrote a song for the film called "Mr. Shadowmaker". It's in the KKK scene (don't ask). The vocals are by a great rock singer in LA by the name of Tommy Fields so check it out - I think the movie's going to be huge.
What else... well a film I scored last year called Bonneville starring Jessica Lange, Cathy Bates, and Joan Allen kind of came of went in limited release - and ended up not opening in LA - which is a drag. However, it's a really sweet film and I believe is being released by Fox on DVD in June, so add it to your Netflix if you'd like. Also, the soundtrack is released by Lakeshore Records (on Itunes as well) and is worth a look. It's half songs, half score and is a really cool listen. Music supervisor Season Kent put together a great selection of oddball songs
What else? Some interesting possibilities on the film front so I'll have some news there soon. CSI:Miami season six is nearing the end but there are some great episodes on the way. Miss Guided is on the proverbial bubble - we're waiting to see if we'll be back in the fall. The show got just amazing reviews so fingers crossed we get a bit of luck. Sign the online petition here

"Finding tATu" - Jeff just signed to score this new drama, which was filmed in Moscow and directed by Oscar nominated director Roland Joffe (The Killing Fields, The Mission, Captivity). More details to follow soon.

2008 is upon us but until the writers' strike here in Hollywood is ended, the future is a bit unclear. CSI:Miami's on hold until it's all settled. Anyway here's the latest...

"American Pie Presents: Beta House" - is out on DVD by Universal. Click here. This film was a blast to do: Eugene Levy is hilarious, Andrew Waller's a genius, and we got to record some big orchestral stuff so do check it out.
"30 Days" - Season 3 starts on Jan 9th on FX. Morgan's in 2 episodes this time and there are so great stories so do check it out. Click here.

"Miss Guided" - Jeff will be scoring this great new mid-season show for ABC. It stars Judy Greer and Brooke Burns. It's executive produced by Todd Holland (Firehouse Dog), Karey Burke, and Ashton Kutcher.
"Mad TV" - Jeff just wrote the new theme song for MAD TV. It will air this Saturday 11/3/2007 at 11pm on FOX.
"Beta House" - I just finished scoring the latest installment in the American Pie franchise for Rogue Pictures. It was directed by Andrew Waller and will be released by Universal on 12/26/07. Check the Music page for samples.
"More Of Me" - Just started scoring this television film starring Molly Shannon and Steven Weber and directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer. This will air on 11/19/2007.

Hey folks, it's been a while... It looks like "Bonneville" and "Save Me" will be getting a theatrical release later this year. Gearing up on CSI:Miami Season 6 and 30 Days Season 3, a new film called "Beta House" and a few other things so stay tuned.
"7 Dias" - I scored this film a few years back for Mexican director Fernando Kalife. It was a big hit in Mexico and nominated for all kinds of awards (including best score!). It's a great dark comedy about a guy putting his life on the line to bring U2 in concert to Mexico. Bono and the guys from U2 gave the film their blessing and even let them use some of their music. Anyway, it's getting a limited release, starting in LA on 8/17 so do check it out here. The score album is out on Warner Brothers Records Mexico and available through Amazon.com.

- 2007 MTV Movie Awards - Jeff composed the main titles and packages for the awards show hosted by Sarah Silverman.
- Fantastic Four - Jeff contributed a rocking track incorporating the Fan Four theme for Fox's Fantastic Four / Nascar promotional event last weekend, where 20 sky divers performed an ariel stunt to promote the upcoming film.
- "Save Me" will be the opening night premiere at the 2007 Outfest in LA on July 12th at the Orpheum Theater in downtown LA. The film will be released theatrically in September 2007. More details to follow.
